In this talk, Professor Steve Driscoll presents the results and rewards of a collaborative project with the local community to explore the early medieval origins of Govan Old and how documenting the gravestones in the churchyard is revealing its post-medieval early industrial history. He will also discuss the wider context of archaeology as a mechanism for urban regeneration.
